School Program
The School Program allows elementary school children to attend special school day, curriculum-based theatre productions at Centre In The Square. Tickets for these shows are highly subsidized. Please Click Here to find out how you can help children experience theatre in our community.
Henry and Mudge & Jason and the Argonauts are the two shows offered as part of the 2011-2012 School Program. There will be two performances of each of these shows.

Tuesday November 29 • 10am & 1pm Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry. He misses Annie, his cousin and best friend, and can't find a playmate in his new neighbourhood. Luckily Mom and Dad buy him a great, big, slobbery dog – Mudge – with whom he can share all kinds of adventures. Henry discovers that having a pet is a big responsibility – they need to be fed, they need to be taken out for walks, and of course they need lots of love and playtime! And when the dog is as big as Mudge is, they also need good training.It looks like Henry and Mudge will be best friends forever, until Annie arrives for a visit. Will Annie come between a boy and his dog? Can a kid have two best friends? Appropriate for Grades JK - 3. |
Jason and the Argonauts

Thursday February 16 • 10am & 1pm Visit Jason and the Argonauts Online Jason's uncle isn't exactly lovable... he's murdered his brother (the king), stolen the kingdom, and now nobody dares stand up to him. Things are about to get a major shake up though because Jason is BACK! After being banished as a baby, our wannabe hero returns to claim his rightful throne and make some big changes. However, in ancient times nothing's that straightforward. Jason and his crew must sail on The Argo to the other side of the world to find the Golden Fleece and bring it back in order to unite the people again. As if that wasn't difficult enough, the odd monster, sleeping dragon and clashing rock endeavour to ruin his trip and spice things up on this most fantastic of journeys! Appropriate for Grades 3 - 8. |

Important Information
- Tickets cost $7 each.
- Call the Ticket Centre at 519.578.1570 or 1.800.265.8977 to order.
- Don't forget to include teachers and chaperones in your ticket count.
- Let us know if you require wheelchair accessible seats at the time of booking.
- Confirmation will be emailed to you shortly after your order is received.
- Invoices will be emailed. Payment is due 3 weeks before the performance date.
- Once payments are made, there will be no refunds for a decrease in numbers. Exceptions are snow days or weather related cancellations.
- Tickets will be mailed to your school.
- Every student and teacher MUST have a ticket in his or her hand prior to entering the theatre.
- Tickets are only available for school groups, including home schools.
Our Ride the School Bus on Us program allows The Centre to expand the School Program by offering complimentary School Bus transportation to economically challenged schools and their students. Please contact Margie Hogg (mhogg@centre-square.com) for more information.
