For the benefit of the client, the Marketing Department of Centre In The Square is pleased to develop a complete, multi-media, marketing campaign for your event.

Please contact the Marketing Department, as soon as The Centre has been contracted, to discuss marketing opportunities.

Once the proposed marketing campaign has been approved, any necessary materials can be prepared and distributed, media 'buys' made, interviews arranged, etc. Any supplied materials will be utilized as stipulated by the client.

The following explains some of the elements which may be included in the marketing campaign.

Centre Star Membership Program
Centre Star Members are able to purchase tickets in advance of the general public, and they receive the best possible ticket discount. There are approximately 1,000 members. A mailing to Centre Star Members, as soon as your on-sale date is determined, is highly recommended.

Group Sales
The Centre maintains a list of commercial and recreational groups. A mailing on behalf of your event can be prepared and sent to groups as part of your advertising campaign. A discount for groups is recommended.

Direct Mail
The Centre maintains a list of most ticket purchasers. This list can be sorted by address, or type of performance attended and an addressed, direct mail piece can be sent. A minimum of 1000 addresses must be included in the bulk mailing and while the cost per piece varies, it is always significantly lower than the first-class mail rate.
Centre In The Square does not trade or sell its mailing lists.

Media Liaison
The Marketing Department staff is in constant contact with area media. On your behalf, a news release can be issued to key media personnel in the region. The charge for the news release covers postage and supplies (approximately 400 are sent). Please provide pertinent information about the production.

The Marketing Department will endeavour to arrange advance interviews for your event. Whenever possible, a cast list, including hometown and a tour itinerary should be provided.

Media Tickets
As a matter of course, there will be available to the media, at the discretion of the Marketing Director, 20 complimentary tickets for each opening night performance. On successive performances, this allotment will be reduced to 10. All tickets not allocated to media will be made available for public purchase.

Reviews
All available published articles (reviews, advances etc) will the retained in the files of Centre In The Square. Upon request, copies of these articles will be made available to the rental client.

Mass Media 'Buys'
As part of an approved marketing campaign, all media buys can be made by The Centre on your behalf. The Centre receives volume discounts, or discounts based on its charitable status, in most media. A 15% commission is charged on all newspaper, radio and television 'buys', however, savings to the client are significant.

Newspaper
If no ad is supplied, one can be designed at a nominal charge. Supplied ads should be a PDF, or Quark and support files. E-mail to tvanvliet@centre-square.com with any design related inquiries.

Radio
Spots can be produced at no charge.

Television
Spots must be provided and local information can then be added at no charge.

Posters, flyers, etc - if they are provided to The Centre these will be distributed as set out in the marketing campaign. These materials can also be produced by the Marketing Department.

Coming Soon
On a regular basis, the Marketing Department publishes a brochure entitled 'Coming Soon' which promotes productions in The Theatre and Studio. Approximately 60,000 full colour issues are printed and distributed. A number of these brochures will be mailed directly of members of The Centre's mailing lists.

All shows presented at Centre In The Square and which are open to the general public must be advertised in the Coming Soon brochure. The charge for this is on a size of space basis and details are listed in the rental contract in Schedule A (generally, prices are between $300 and $600). Please provide the Marketing Department with show details, artwork, photos, sponsor's logos etc. An ad will be designed to fit Coming Soon at no charge.

Internet
Centre In The Square's web site address is www.centre-square.com. Upcoming events are advertised, at no charge to the client, on the Events Calendar page of the site.

House Program
A house program will be published by the Marketing Department. Only this house programme will be distributed, free of charge, by The Centre staff to every partron attending The Theatre. The charge for the House Programme is listed in the rental contract in Schedule A. At least three weeks before the production is to open, please provide the information you want included in the programme. All copy must be typed or on Mac disk.

Settlement
All charges for marketing services will be detailed on a final settlement sheet which will be made available to the client at the time of closing of the show. Where possible, tear sheets will be included. The client must absorb all costs pertaining to advertising and promotion.
