Diana Krall Returns to Kitchener

posted January 28, 2013

KITCHENER, ON (October 2, 2012) – Jazz sensation Diana Krall will be returning to Kitchener on February 19, 2013 as part of her Glad Rag Doll world tour. Her first time back to the region since 2009, Diana Krall maintains her smooth jazz-pop sounds while incorporating a new 1920s vibe. Her new album titled "Glad Rag Doll," released Oct. 2, 2012, produced by T Bone Burnett, is jazzy with a touch of blues.

The breathy-voiced two-time Grammy winner will perform at Centre In The Square on February 19, 2013 presenting both classic favourites and songs from her new album. An exhilarating and adventurous exploration of new sounds, new instrumentation and new musicians, the record reveals itself at that remarkable vanishing point in time where all music – swinging, rocking and taboo – collide with songs of longing, solace and regret. It is at once a major departure and a natural progression for the gifted musician. Diana simply calls the album, "a song and dance record".

Tickets range from $79 to $129 and may be purchased online at www.centreinthesquare.com, by calling 519-578-1570 or in person at the Centre In The Square box office, 101 Queen St. N., Kitchener, Ontario.
