His half-hour special was ranked in the top 5 of the Comedy Central Presents series and his highly anticipated debut album American Comic is being released later this year. |

Paula Bel honed her skills at the Comedy Store, where very early in her career she was asked to open for the late Richard Pryor, at his request. Bel is a favourite in Europe, performing regularly in Amsterdam and Ireland. She was invited to perform at the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and has had many other TV appearances. |
